My son is going in the Army next month...he will be in the states for training but the probability of going overseas is very real. The cost of phone calls, stamps and writing materials will become necessary items...as I am on a fixed income this will be a problem for me...it would be nice if these supplies would be available to the troops and families for free...or at a very minimal cost.
Both families and troops need help. We need to get proper equipment for the troops to use, they have been denied this and many have tragically lost lives. Really we should pull them out of Iraq its so sad so many people losing their lives. For what nothing seems to change...Troops and families deserve more from the government better accomodation pay etc etc..I stopped my husband going back in the army and we are both glad because then Iraq started.
BOTH families and Troops need help so apply this to who needs it most!! I want to THANK both for your sacrifices!!

My dad was a purple heart, bronze star awarded WW2 vet, yet he got terrible care in the VA hospital he died in.The VA system must be fixed. My son is in the Navy now, so I am even more concerned about the poor treatment of our vets and troops. I was and am opposed to the war in Iraq, but our young people must be supported!
My husband is in Kuwait and anything we can do to get these men and woman home is wonderful!!!!
