When I was a cat mom my cats were spayed and neutured. There was this one cat in our neighborhood that we called 'Mama Cat' because she was always getting pregnant. She wasn't being cared for, she was always at my apartment eating cat food. I'd love to see more free clinics open that would offer spay/neuter programs and educate the public how important spaying/neutering is.

Helping low cost non profit spay and neuter clinics
A neighbor of mine asked me to take his two cats who have both been declawed- he's moving soon. He said that the Animal shelter told him that both cats would probably be put to sleep within a week if noone adopted them. I'm thrilled to have Fred and Ginger ( age 2 from same litter). Breaks my heart to think of the millions of cats that were not saved.

There are too many unwanted dogs and cats running around trying to do the best they can to take care of themselves. People just dump unwanted puppies and kittens by the side of the road - I know - I've gotten 2 of my dogs that way and they turned out to be very wonderful and loyal dogs, after I nursed them back to life that is! I would like my click(s) to go to educating the public about how to get rid of an unwanted animal the RIGHT way - by taking them to local animal shelters or places like ARF where they can be adopted into happy and safe homes with families who care about them.
