I love people and would love to see more ministries in the prisons.
I have a son in prison because of his involvement with alcohol and drugs. If anyone needs spiritual help it is people behind bars. They are abused from the first day of incarceration until they are released with $200.00 and no home or belongings or job. The very few, have a loved one who will stick with them and provide necessary shelter until they can find a job. That is another issue; few companies will hire anyone who has been in jail or prison. If the individual is honest and answers job application questions regarding his record, no one will hire him. One person I talked to told me she had to fill out an application for a minimum paying job with a drive in and pay $10.00 up front for a criminal check. There has to be mentoring programs instituted with training and placement of people getting out of lockup. If people have the ability to feed, clothe and house themselves, they will not need to return to a life of crime to survive. I can think of only think of a Teach and Witness, Churches in Prisons, bringing people in to witness.
We need to let these people they can be saved, they can have another chance, Maybe they have never heard or have had it rough, How would it be to kill an innocent person, more or less, someone who never got the chance to Know Christ.
Education is the way forward for prisoners so as not to reoffend... Tougher laws on offenders especially sex offenders.. I think they need to bring back the DEATH Penalty to deter people commiting crimes..
I worked in the Delaware Corrections system........the are locking up non-payers of child support instead of putting them on house arrest so the can work and pay!! Also, I saw first hand.......REHABILATATION does not work!! They go through programs and get out and do the same thing!!! I saw one guy 3 times in a 6 month period for the same thing!! They behave just enough to get through classes, get their goodtime and get out to do the same thing again!!
Use my clicks to get tougher penalties for worse crimes. The old "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" code works for me. If someone is found guilty of murder, they should die - no plea bargaining, no getting life if they turn in someone else, DEATH! If people are scared enough of the consequenses, maybe they will think twice about committing the crime.
ALOT of people in prison need help! Give em a start
There are alot of people in prison who just need a little help to turn their life around
Court ordered treatment centers for less violent crimes. Lets give them a chance at rehabilation and drug/alchol treatment first.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO ME DUE TO THE FACT ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE GETTING AWAY WITH WHAT THEY DO,IT IS NOT FAIR.SOMETIMES I FEEL THAT WHAT EVER CRIME A PERSON COMMITTS THATS HOW THEY SHOULD BE PUNISHED.L
